Nearly 90 Flights Connected to Jeffrey Epstein Allegedly Arrived at or Departed from UK Airfields
An investigation has uncovered that nearly 90 aircraft journeys associated to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein allegedly arrived at and departed from UK airfields, with some allegedly having onboard British women who claim they were exploited by the convicted child sex offender.
Flight Logs Show Trail of Movement
The travel manifests were part of thousands of legal papers and papers released by the estate of Jeffrey Epstein that have been released over the past year. The analysis found 87 flights connected to Epstein – encompassing many that were previously unknown – coming into or leaving from UK airports between the early 1990s and 2018.
Onboard Individuals and After Guilty Verdict Travel
Unnamed female passengers were listed among the travelers flying to and from the UK. Crucially, 15 of these British airport journeys took place subsequent to Epstein’s 2008 conviction for soliciting sex from a minor.
“This is ‘astonishing’ that there had never been a ‘thorough probe in the UK’ into his operations in the country,” said US lawyers acting for numerous Epstein survivors.
UK Survivors and Legal Proceedings
Testimony from one of the British victims was instrumental in convicting Epstein’s accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell of child sex-trafficking in the US in 2021. Yet, that individual has not received any contact by police in the UK, according to her Florida-based lawyer.
In a statement, the the Met stated they had “not received any additional evidence that would support restarting the inquiry.” They added, “If fresh and pertinent information be brought to our attention, including any arising from the disclosure of documents in the US, we will assess it.”
Continuing Document Release and Judicial Decisions
Proposed legislation to release all files held by the US government in relation to Epstein was approved by the US Congress last month. The Department of Justice has until 19 December to comply. A vast number of files are anticipated to be made public.
Additionally, a federal judge ruled last week that the DOJ could disclose evidence from a sex-trafficking case against Maxwell, Epstein’s close friend, who is currently serving a 20-year jail term over the allegations.
