Jet Transporting US Defense Secretary Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Cockpit Window
A plane transporting Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a fissure was discovered in the plane's windshield, per an official announcement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.
"The aircraft landed following established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, among them Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative stated in a online announcement.
The secretary was coming back from a short visit to the Belgian capital during the flight.
This occurrence isn't the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet carrying a high-ranking official has encountered mechanical issues.
In a previous incident this year, a American military jet carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was required to turn back to the US capital after experiencing a technical issue.
